WOTV4’s Maranda Where You Live program recently invited four teachers from Kent ISD schools to discuss their favorite things about being a teacher and advice to parents on how they can prepare their children to get the most out of the upcoming school year. Joining Maranda were Kenowa Hills Public Schools 4th grade teacher Stephanie Gerdes, Northview Public Schools 3rd grade teacher Mary Lou Ohnsman, East Kentwood High School AP biology teacher Chad VanHouten, and Kelloggsville High School art teacher Donna Casmere. School News Network has recognized these teachers for their dedication to teaching and children with their own stories over the last school year.
