Students Fulfill Pet Gift Wish List

Dutton Elementary School fifth-graders Saige Cooper and Izzy Fata recently led a blanket, toy and pet food drive for animals of the Humane Society of Kent County.

Students brought in donations, which piled up in the school hallway, so animal lovers Saige and Izzy could help stock the shelter with comfy blankets and playthings for cats and dogs.

The girls recently delivered several bags of items to the Walker-based shelter.
