Multiple districts — Area public school districts are gearing up to provide K-12 programs this summer to address learning loss impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, offer in-person and virtual tutoring and credit recovery, and host enrichment activities aimed at addressing social-emotional needs. Here is an overview of your district’s offerings.
Grand Rapids Public Schools
Program dates: June 21-July 22. (Monday – Thursday)
Registration: ended April 9
Description: Summer of Success is a 5-week program that provides reading, writing and math support for K-5 students and support in reading, math and social-emotional learning in grades 6-8. GRASP is an at-home reading and math program to retain learning and available to K-8 students from anywhere. High school students are given the opportunity for credit recovery needed to stay on track for graduation. Additional summer programs at this link.
