Science on the Grand, a STEAM conference for educators put on by the Van Andel Institute for Education, will be held this summer on July 10 and 11.
The conference will offer more than 30 sessions dedicated to research-based, classroom-tested STEAM content strategies for every grade level. Participants can expect two days of inspiration, exploration, networking and practical takeaways, including standards-aligned lessons with STEAM integration.
Participants will also hear from two keynote speakers. Dr. John Spencer, educator and best-selling author, will discuss what it means to spark ongoing curiosity through inquiry-based learning, and Dr. Stephanie Grainger, VAI assistant professor, will offer a scientist’s perspective on what it’s actually like to “think and act like a scientist.”
Early-bird pricing of $100 per person is being offered until May 15; after that date, registration will be $200 per person. In addition, administrators from the same school or district may attend for free with the paid registration of a staff member.
