Godwin Heights — Families in the district have two opportunities to explore hands-on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) offerings this fall.
The high school will host its Secondary STEM Night, focused on science, technology, engineering, and math, on Sept. 20 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the high school, 50 35th ST. SW.
The family STEM night, which the high school has hosted for the past several years, gives students in grades 6-12 and their families the opportunity to explore various STEM activities. Stations such as rocket building, robots, coding, financial skills, chemistry and puzzle games are set up in the school’s collaboration room, with participants able to move from station to station.
North Godwin, which launched its new STEM program last year, will host its family STEM night later this fall, on Nov. 16.
