Northview — Dr. Christina Hinds says her plan to lead Northview Public Schools this year revolves around a single word: consistency.
She has been appointed as interim superintendent this school year, following the July retirement of Dr. M. Scott Korpak. She was hired as deputy superintendent in September 2022.
“It really is that consistency… really carrying forth (Korpak’s) legacy,” Hinds said. “I was so thankful to have that year with him, and I want to carry forward his hopes for the district as well.
“(Northview) is an amazing place, and we have a culture that needs to be protected.”
Hinds previously had been superintendent of Wayland Union Schools in Wayland, Michigan; assistant superintendent of curriculum and student services at Mattawan Consolidated School in Mattawan, Michigan; and held numerous posts in special education, in Mattawan, Van Buren ISD and Martin High School in Martin, Michigan.
