Hinds named Northview superintendent

Northview — The Northview Public Schools Board of Education voted unanimously on Monday to appoint Dr. Christina Hinds as superintendent. Hinds was appointed interim superintendent following the July retirement of Dr. M. Scott Korpak. She was hired as deputy superintendent in September 2022.

“Her proven leadership skills, knowledge of our district and unwavering commitment to our community make her the ideal choice to lead Northview Public Schools into a future filled with growth and success,” said Board President Linda LaBerteaux in a press release. “The Board is confident in Dr. Hinds’ vision and ability to foster a thriving educational environment for all our students.”

Hinds previously had been superintendent of Wayland Union Schools in Wayland, Michigan; assistant superintendent of curriculum and student services at Mattawan Consolidated School in Mattawan, Michigan; and held numerous posts in special education, in Mattawan, Van Buren ISD and Martin High School in Martin, Michigan.
