Plant-based learning ‘sprouting like crazy’ in elementary greenhouse

In Kent City Elementary School’s greenhouse, kids learn about hydroponic farming, nutrition and everything in between. Also offered is an after-school Greenhouse Club to give budding horticulturists even more time to get their hands in the dirt. School News Network’s videographer Brett Atwood stopped by to capture some of the action and see how Kent City’s STEM teachers are combining their regular water and plant lessons to offer hands-on learning.
