Grandville — “Why not give it a try? And if you fail, who cares? You’re in high school! You’re not going to be 17 ever again.”
In this episode of “The Suburban” podcast, junior and football player Daniel explains that the first step toward success is learning to take yourself a little less seriously. In this conversation with A/V teacher Mike Cox ahead of the football team’s second-round playoff game, Daniel talks about why he’s excited for the opportunity to compete while having fun. The two also throw in a little Mongolian throat singing for good measure.
The Suburban is a student-led podcast from Grandville High School that focuses on the nuances of high school life. Students discuss a wide range of subjects, offering individual perspectives on what it takes to survive a normal school day. Sometimes the episodes are lighthearted and funny. Other times they’re deeply personal. Whatever the case, each episode examines the complexities of teen life, a subject that is notoriously misunderstood.
